Broken down into meal course by chapters, Notably Nashville not only
provides an abundance of southern styled recipes, but also history through
people, places and events. The recipes are Nashville classics such as,
Wild Duck Gumbo, Grilled Brown Sugar Salmon, Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake,
Loin of Venison with Red Currant Bordelaise. Ranging from easy to more advanced
preparation, the recipe variations, hints, and tips will help you to prepare
"your own notable meal.

Kahlua Dip
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup Kahlua
1/3 cup salted nuts (optional)
Blend the cream cheese and whipped cream in a bowl. Add the brown sugar, sour
cream, Kahlua and nuts and mix well. Spoon into a serving dish and chill,
covered, for up to 2 days. Serve with sliced Granny Smith apples or other
seasonal fruit.
While there are many reasons for teaching kids to cook -- less expensive than eating out, preserves family heritage, etc, the most important
