At first glance, one might assume that this book is a guide to old fashioned living.
In a sense it is. The reader is taken back in time through "Mrs. Dunwoody's" housekeeping
journal. To a time when housekeeping methods took longer to achieve the wanted and
era required results. But, through practical advice and hints the reader begins to
realize that there was a method to that era's madness.
An absolutely wonderful read peppered with advice on housekeeping, cooking and proper etiquette.
