Adding special treasures such as
small toys, pencils, erasers, markers and stickers will be sure to perk up a
boring lunch.
When my children were small, I heard about a neat way to explain
love to them using the word picture of a "Love Bucket". We all have
our own personal Love Buckets that can be filled to any level just
like a bucket of water. We feel best when our Love Buckets are full.
Throughout the day, our Love Buckets get jostled and they slop and
splash and sometimes even get kicked over. We can fill each other's
Love Buckets with acts of kindness, hugs, special privileges, words
of appreciation and time spent together.
Lunch Bag Smiles, such as an inexpensive treat, fun food or a note
are easy ways to fill your children's Love Buckets. You don't have to
include something every day and in fact it will be more special if
it's an unexpected surprise.
Try these other wonderful ideas to make lunch time special for your
children, or come up with other creative, love-fill ideas of your
own.
Glue to the back of a picture of your pet and put in your child's
lunch bag.
Hole Punch to fit over your child's straw.
Pack a laugh for the day by including a funny food riddle.

reason is that by teaching your child to cook, you're giving him a better chance to be a healthy grown-up. Enabling your child with the ability
